About Us
Jack n Jayde Sewing Centre formally Sue’s Sewing World will continue to offer the same service with some additional products. The name change has evolved as the shop was sold in January 2022 to Barb and the name Jack n Jayde is the middle name of her grandchildren.
Fabrics lie on the shelves, including a large range of Batik prints, spots and stripes, children’s fabrics, panels, wide backs, and cotton fabrics including Christmas and various other special novelty fabrics. We also stock an extensive range of interfacing, elastic, and buttons, as well as sewing accessories, sewing machine parts, and a large range of threads including embroidery, upholstery, overlocker and everyday thread. Stocking King Star, Rasant and Maderia as our main brands, we also have many other specialty threads to entice the sewing enthusiast. A full range of DMC embroidery threads are also available, stocking over 100 choices of colours.
Our Story
Providing a service to the community is paramount as is offering a full range of sewing requirements.
Our Brother and Janome range includes sewing machine, overlockers, cover-stitch, embroidery & quilting machines, along with the amazing Scan n Cut machines. Sales are available along with a demonstration and lessons on how to use the features. We also have a range of accessories available for the machines including feet and needles.
Service and repairs to all machine makes and models is available by dropping in to the store with the machine.
Individual lessons on machines use can be arranged by contacting the shop.
Classes are held regularly throughout the year which includes a variety of topics, catering beginners through to experienced sewers:

School holiday programs are a new addition to the shop as we encourage those who would like to learn to sew or become involved with craft an opportunity to participate in friendly environment to learn lifelong skills.
A range of wool has been added to the store, with a range of ply’s, textures, needles, and crotchet hooks to keep the knitting and crotchet fingers busy. We also stock cross stitch kits, quilting and Applique patterns.
Jack n Jayde want to continue to be one of the best sewing centres in the state by providing Adelaide and the people throughout South Australia with a service that supports their interests.
